Elias Haddad is an award-winning composer and pianist whose progressive music integrates a diverse range of influences, spanning from progressive rock, metal, and jazz to baroque, classical, romantic, impressionist, and minimalist styles. His unique approach to composition reflects a synthesis of these genres, creating a distinct and forward-thinking musical voice.

Elias began his musical journey at the age of five, taking classical piano lessons. His natural ability to improvise and craft melodic phrases was evident from an early age, a talent nurtured by his teacher’s patience and guidance. These formative years laid the foundation for his creative expression.

During his late teens and early twenties, Elias temporarily stepped away from music to pursue a bachelor’s degree in finance. However, his passion for music soon resurfaced, becoming an all-encompassing focus. This resurgence led to the release of multiple solo piano albums and distinguished performances, including a recital at the renowned Ehrbar Saal in Vienna after winning the Golden Key Festival competition.

In 2019, Elias earned a master’s degree in composition from the Royal Northern College of Music, studying under the esteemed Professor Adam Gorb. His academic and artistic journey continued with the completion of a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in 2023 at the University of Toronto, under the mentorship of Professor Christos Hatzis. These achievements underscore Elias’s dedication to advancing his craft and contributing to contemporary music.

Elias’s work reflects a commitment to blending technical mastery with innovative musical exploration, making him a dynamic figure in the world of modern composition.
